Gary and Dan Woodland on making their debut at the 2025 PNC Championship….

Gary Woodland: “It’s awesome. Obviously one we’ve seen on TV for a long time. Winning in 2019, that was one of the first things that came to mind was that we’d have an opportunity to play in this. Obviously my kids are young, and it’s nice after a couple years and we’ve both battled stuff. So it’s nice to be in a position to come out and play. My sister will be here caddieing for him, and he’ll have all the grandkids here. We’ll have a nice family week this week, so pretty cool.”

Dan Woodland: “I can’t think of a better way to start the holidays. Got the whole family here, the grandkids here. My daughter’s here. My wife’s here. I’m excited.”

Annika Sorenstam and Will McGee are playing together for a fourth time, shared their excitement…

Annika Sorenstam: “I’m super excited. This is the highlight of the year for us of course to be able to play together, to be part of this event. As you know, there’s some great teams here, and the atmosphere is just fun. I don’t know, I just love walking inside the ropes with Will. I will say that my game is probably similar; his game has gotten a lot better. So it’s fun to watch him and see him blossom and kind of be up front, a front seat.”

Will McGee: “I’m also super excited. It’s super cool to play a tournament with a bunch of legends and to be able to come back every year. It’s super fun being able to play with her.”

Three-time major champion Padraig Harrington returns for his eighth PNC Championship appearance with oldest son Paddy.

Padraig on the PNC Championship giving his kids the opportunity to enjoy golf…

“I think my kids because of the PNC Championship have a much better love for the game of golf. Golf for any of the kids of a professional golfer, can be quite a frustrating game. There’s always high expectations. This is the ideal event in terms of it’s a scramble, it’s relaxed, it’s family oriented, it gets them into it. It gets them playing in a competitive environment without being super competitive.

They’re not trying to be pros. They’re out here just trying to hit some good shots and enjoy it. There really isn’t anything like it. I have to always be thankful for PNC for bringing that interest in the game of golf to my kids that they want to turn up and be respectable. They want to hit some good shots and show up and at least look like somebody would go, oh, if they tried a little harder or worked a little bit more, they could have been a pro sort of way.”

Paddy on his form coming into this week…

“Every year there’s something going well and something that went well the year before that isn’t going as well, or at least I feel like it’s not going as well. I put on a lot of speed and hitting it much further than I had been, maybe like 30 yards this summer, I think.

He’s actually come up on my tees this year, which is fantastic for me. I thought I was going to maybe get to use some of my drives. Yeah, I think I’m feeling good. We had a good Pro-Am today. Hit some nice shots, hit some good drives, yeah, happy.”
