Immelman, Kuchar, Sörenstam and Stricker join Langer, Trevino, Harrington and Duval as early entrants for the 2025 PNC Championship

With tickets now on sale at pncchampionship.com, one of the PNC Championship’s most popular pairings, Annika Sörenstam and Will McGee, is confirmed for the 2025 PNC Championship, taking place Dec. 18-21, at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando, Grande Lakes.
Also returning is former Masters Champion Trevor Immelman who made his debut last year and seven-time senior major winner Steve Stricker, making his third appearance. Playing alongside their children, Jacob and Izzi, both offspring will undoubtably be the envy of their college teammates as they kick off their holiday season competing alongside so many of golf’s history makers. Nine-time PGA Tour winner and 2012 Players Champion Matt Kuchar will be making his seventh appearance in the 20-team line up alongside his son, Cameron.
For Sörenstam, with 72 wins world-wide including 10 major titles and achieving a career grand slam, her dream is now to add the PNC Championship to her illustrious list of career achievements alongside her 14-year-old son Will.
Driven by Will’s passion for golf, Sörenstam spends a lot of time leading up to the annual PNC Championship practicing alongside her golf-obsessed son. Their routine includes an occasional visit to the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club Orlando, Grande Lakes, making sure they’re fully prepared for the most anticipated week of their year.
Ahead of Sörenstam’s sixth PNC Championship appearance and Will’s fourth outing, she commented, “Will has said that he looks forward to this week all year and I would say it’s the same for me. I love sharing the anticipation and excitement with Will as we practice towards this shared goal – the preparation for me is probably as enjoyable as playing together in the tournament itself. We are so excited to be invited each year as It’s the most amazing experience to share with our family and friends alongside so many golfing greats. Last year’s star-studded field won 69 majors and 40 senior major titles and more than 1000 international titles. There were five past champions in the field (listed below) and two teams making their debut. The youngest partner was 13-year-old Will McGee, while the ‘most experienced’ was Gary Player at 89 years young. Then World No. 1 Nelly Korda was the highest ranked with more than half the field having reached the pinnacle of World No. 1 during their distinguished careers.
This is PNC Bank’s 14th year as the tournament’s title sponsor, having recently renewed their commitment to the event as title sponsor in a multi-year deal. The event was renamed the PNC Championship in 2020, reflecting the world class talent and special bonds that characterize this inclusive family tournament.
The tournament, which will be broadcast live across NBC, GOLF Channel and Peacock, attracts major champions whose victories this year span 1959 to the present day.
The PNC Championship has continued to evolve and develop since the inaugural tournament in 1995, when 10 major winners gathered with their sons. The tournament now features 20 major champions and their relatives competing in a two-day, 36-hole scramble for the Willie Park Trophy. To qualify for the PNC Championship, players must have won a major championship or The Players Championship. Their partner must not hold any playing status on a professional Tour.
